I have 2 networked computers. When I open the shortcut to an MDB file on
another computer I get the OPEN FILE SECURITY WARNING every time. How can I
turn this warning off?

Thanks in advance

Hi Shawna,

From your description, not sure the basis for this being a phishing issue. You didn't mention the version of MS Access you're using
or the version of Windows etc. You may want to use the link below to post to the MS Access discussion group and include that
information

Sorry I should have said that it started immediately after downloading and
installation of Internet Explorer 7. The Version of Access is 2003 with SP2
and the computer that's accessing the file from another computer is Windows
XP Home Edition Version 2002 service pack 2

The Open file security warning opens and on the bottom it says, "While files
from the Internet can potentially harm your computerif you do no trust the
source, do not open this software" and I should note that it also says the
publisher of the MDB file is UNKNOWN. I click on "What's the Risk" which
opens up Windows Help, Internet Explorer "Should you open files from the
Internet or e-mail that you have saved to your computer?"

So I figured it was an issue with Internet Explorer uprade that has all the
new security features. Honestly I'm not sure where to go for help. I even
disabled Phishing Filter from the Internet Properties.
