I would like to be able to connect and make phone calls from my laptop
(Precision M6300) using a phone line. What do I need to be able to do that,
and how do I connect the phone?

Well... you're asking in the wrong place, I fear. This newsgroup is first in
the alphabetical list, but it's for the specific program Microsoft Access -
not for "computer access". The webpage can be confusing and may have misled
you; scroll down the list of subject areas on the screen.

I'd suggest that you ask in the Windows newsgroup appropriate to your
installation of Windows. You will need, at least, a Modem eitehr installed in
your laptop (many have them built in) or an external modem. For details of how
to use the modem and telephony software, post in the appropriate Windows
group.

First of all, try to understand what you are doing and where you are doing it.

Second of all, post the question to a forum that would be APPLICABLE! This
is a Microsoft Access DATABASE forum and therefore NOT APPLICABLE.
