Photo gallery

In FrontPage 2002, when editing the Photo Gallery caption, after I am
finished and press OK, everything freezes up? I am running Windows XP pro.
Any ideas?

I was working with it actively in FP, yes.
It was a new gallery and then I started over and created it over again
because I started having this problem. Hope you can help.

Try JAlbum instead..... Much less pain!

You must create a web first, then create the page you want the photo gallery
on, THEN create the gallery. REMEMBER to IMPORT all your intended (and
previously edited) images INTO Frontpage FIRST.

Hint: Frontpage Photogallery seems to barf on large Photogalleries so you
might want to keep it under 40 images per gallery. That's NOT a hard and
fast number (I haven't figured out what the exact barf ratio is yet)

Rob, thanks for the reply but I still don't understand why you would have to
have a site hosted first. Just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Rob: No, that is not about to happen. This is a disc-based web. Theat is
exactly how I do things. Create it on disc, then publish.

Sorry for the intrusion but can you give me a little more info on JAlbum ? I
downloaded and have yet to play with it. But my main question before I get to
much into is...how does it work with FP 2003 ? Easy to import or add into a
web page ?
Thanks and sorry for intruding on this thread,
Debra

Frontpage didn't want to import the folder I created with the Import
function in the file menu. I simply opened up where my JAlbum folder was
and web in FP folders list. I clicked on the task bar at the bottom of my
screen and told it to vertically tile and simply dragged the folder to the
web in FP. Once there you can open the album and edit the index page of the
album... title and links to wherever.

In creating the jalbums you can add captions to your pictures. My album
