Photo shows as icon in report

The linked photos.jpg were displaying in my report pages with no problem in
Access for Win95, v7.00. However since converting the *.mdb files to Access
2002 only a icon of the linked file displays in the report page. As a side
note when viewing (but can't edit) the Win95/v7.00 files in Access 2002, the
photos display properly.

I have spent ALL DAY searching the Access Help file, the interweb, and this
newsgroup. I know I'm dumb but I just didn't know how dumb until now. Any
info appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
DL

The same thing happened to me.

Searched for the Solution for weeks. Searched the Help screens. Searched
Microsoft's web site. Searched News Groups.
And what seems like a Thousand more. But No Solution!!!

Discovered quite a few other people were searching for the same answer.

While searching Microsoft's web site one day found an article that
referenced the same problem.

The answer was that Microsoft's Photo Editor needed to be Re-Installed.

The application that Your computer uses to display images needs to be
re-installed, (according to Microsoft).

Also discovered that You can open the image in MSPaint, then copy and paste
it into Access.

Andy,

Thanks for the tip. Although I have several image applications I use Windows
Picture & Fax Viewer as the default jpg viewer. I have searched my system
disk and can't find it to re-install. I am also searching the MS Knowledge
Base but have not located the article you referenced.

Again, thanks for your help. If I find any of the above I'll post it here.

Here's the article re: Image displaying:

832508 Images that are stored in OLE object fields do not appear correctly

There are links to various versions of Access.
