Photos disappeared from webpage

Another Newbie question (and thanks to those who helped
me with two other questions!)

I've been working off-line with Front Page on copies of
our webpages. All has been going well, until yesterday
when I opened some of the new pages and the photos had
jumped off them! The outlines of the photos are still
there. 1) I can't figure out what I did wrong, or 2) how
to get the photos back.

Help! Joan

Do you actually have a web created and open before you work on a page?
Did you File | Import the images into your opened FP web before inserting on
a page and saving?

Thanks for answering. I am working off-line on copies of
our webpages. I copied these pages onto a CD before
putting them on the desktop. I don't know enough to
follow the rest of your email. (I look through the Front
Page manual by Hester before posting on this Forum, but
I'm on a very steep learning curve!)

Would the easiest thing be to get out the CD and put
those pages (WITH their photos) onto the desktop and move
the photos over to the new pages??

I still want to know what I did wrong to make the photos
disappear! Thanks. Joan

What went wrong is you don't have a web, you have just pages.
You must create a web site, then File | Import the images to your web before
inserting on a page.
