PHP and FrontPage 2003

Hello.

I know you can write the PHP code in FP2003 is the code view. And I'm not
really all that concerned w/ seeing what the result of the code would be in
the preview area.

What I WOULD like to see is the code 'color coded'. ie, begining and end
of tags, etc. Like you would see in a program editer. Kind of like what
it does w/ HTML coding.

I've seen 'Code Charges Studio' and it's seems to be overkill for what I
want.

Is anyone aware of something that can do this in FP2003?

Thx!

Not in FP, any version.

You can go to http://www.textpad.com and download TextPad, which is a
low cost text editor (there is a trial version), and then go to
http://www.textpad.com/add-ons/synn2t.html
and download a PHP syntax definition file (installation instructions
are on the page).
This will give the colour coded syntax for PHP, but not intellisense.

Set FrontPage to use TextPad as the editor for PHP files
Tools-Options - Configure Editors tab, Highlight PHP and add the
editor, set it as default.

you wouldn't see the result of what the code produces anyway; since you need
to execute the code on a web server.
