Pick from list

When I select a number of cells and then right-click I get a drop-down which includes an option called "Pick from List". What is this used for?

This menu option displays a list box containing the other items that you
have already entered in the same column. You can pick one of them to be
entered into the current cell. It's just there to save you some typing if
you have a lot of repetitive entries.
