Picking up Page numbering in ToC

I have numbering in my document set to A-1, A-2, B-1 etc,
with me typing in the A-, etc in manually. When I run the
ToC only the 1. 2 is showing, A-, etc is not picked up,
but I would like it to be.

Could anyone give me ideas how to to this?

Unless you're using chapter numbering and having the A-, B- inserted as a
field, your TOC will not pick it up. However, I have worked around this
before too. Here's how:
Update your TOC, then select all the TOC items that need the A- and hit
Ctrl+H.
In the find with, type: ^t
In the replace with, type: ^tA-
Hit replace all.
Do the Bs, etc...
<-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*->
