I have recently moved to the Mac from a PC. When PowerPoint 2003 for the PC had "pickup style" tool that would allow me to transfer the style of one drawing object to another. This would allow me to transfer line colors, line styles, fills, etc. from one object to a new one. I cannot locate this feature in PowerPoint 2008. Does it exist? If so, where?

That feature was predicated on the old bitmap editor which has been ditched
along with the 8-bit, 256 color images on which it was designed to be used.
It's buried deeply even on the PC (PPT 2007) & although it is still
available in PPT 2008 by customizing a toolbar it apparently doesn't
function properly [based on recent posts]. I haven't tested, myself, but I'm
certain it's directly related to the new graphics engine.

Have you tried using the Format Painter instead? Select the source shape,
click the Format Painter, then click the target shape. If you want to apply
the formatting to more than one shape double-click the button rather than a
single click. See PPT Help for more.
