Picture Manager COPIES pics I want to delete--help!

Help! Microsoft Office Picture Manager often--but not always--COPIES
pictures I am trying to delete. How do prevent this from occurring?

Also, is there anyway to retrieve a picture that is inadvertently deleted?

I will be grateful to the solution to this dilemma.

To retrieve your deleted pictures, you can have a look in MS Recycle bin
folder. There should be an icon on the desktop or you will need to
explore it using Windows Explorer.

The folder is normally hidden so you will need to unhide it by:

Launch Windows Explorer
Tools, Folder Options,
View tab
check Show hidden files and folders.
