Picture Manager Won't Run

Whenever I try and open a picture file I get the message "Picture Manager has
encountered a problem....". I have tried rebooting several times and I keep
getting the same message. Any suggestions for resolving this situation?

Have you tried opening another Office application and running Help, Detect
and Repair {in Office 2003} or Help, Office Diagnostics in Office 2007 ?

Hi Don. Thanks for the post.
Yes, I tried to run the Detect and Repair but I kept getting an error
message during the Office set-up saying that I was missing a certain .cab
file. After rectifying that problem I was able to run the reinstall but the
problem with Picture Manager persisted. Rather than waste any more time I
simply went in and changed the file association for my .jpegs to Picture and
Fax Viewer. I use Picasa to do my photo editing anyways so getting rid of
Picture Manager really doesn't upset me.
