picture problem in XP Office

I have installed XP Office and have found on Word and Powerpoint that some
pictures and not others are hardly visible for too much colour. I cut it out
and paste in a new one and it still goes the same..Any answers...

Hi Andrew,

I'm not sure what 'too much colour' would be in
this case as it relates to the graphic being visible.
You can change brightness or contrast settings on
a graphic from the Picture toolbar once it's inserted
in Word but not the color depth used.

Can you provide the steps the you're using in Word
and what is different about the graphic as seen outside
of Word and when inserted in Word?
