I just found out how to make a color from a picture transparent, in help it
says that Word can only do one color like that but there are other ways to do
it...anyone know. Ive been testing editing software on cnet.com but not
finding anything. Is this possible?

Hi Jonny,

Some graphics editing packages can use a 'find outline' technique to cut items out of a background to use elsewhere. For Word the
transparency tool when dragged over a selected area of a graphic will remove from the picture that color. As an example, if you
have a white background and a person wearing white clothes, it doesn't differentiate where the white is.

Word also has the ability, depending on if you're working with color fills in shapes to let you set how transparent the fill of that
shape is. You can use that to 'overcolor' a graphic by placing a semi transparent shape over a picture, but not to remove a color
from the picture.
