I have created a jpeg file of my personal signature.

I have placed it within a word document, but I want to prevent an Email
recipient of the document with my signture from either copying or altering it.

Is there a way of protecting it?

Any help would be appreciated.

No - if they can see it they can copy it (eg by printing & scanning or via Ctrl-Print Screen and pasting into another file).
