Pictures and pages don't load to website

I've read the questions posted about this subject, have read and followed the
advice in David Bartosik's articles, which have not helped. My https transfer
to the Comcast server is not uploading pictures, nor is it uploading page#2
and page#3 of the 3-page wizard I am trying to use in Publisher 2003. I've
tried uploading from two different locations. At work, there are maybe some
firewall issues, but page 1 does load and display, albeit without photos. I
get the same result when I upload from home, were I don't have any firewall
issues I know of. Suggestions would be appreciated. My hope was that by
uploading a complete 3-page website using MS Wizards that all the links would
automatically work. Is there a problem with Comcast?

Given that not only your second and third page don't load, but also that
images on your home page don't, this means that you did not publish the
supporting files folder, which contain all those HTML files. Apparently you
only published the index.htm page.

Though you say that you have read David Bartosik's material, here is a link
to a page of articles about troubleshooting uploading issues that you might
again reference:

Thanks. I'll re-plow that ground, see if I missed something. I'm using the
http transfer. The problem comes after MSP logs me on successfully to my
comcast account. The index file and a few others transfer, but nothing else.
The connection hangs and times out./ Butch

You might check your pages carefully to see if you have any page elements
overlapping into the scratch area, as that can hang things up. And, possibly
try turning the sub-folder option off...

David, I may have stumbled upon what is/was not working, would appreciate
your comments: I tried using the MSP internal FTP protocol on my home pc
instead of http transfer. When I did that, I got a message something like "
MSP is blocking some data from transferring. Would you like to allow it?" (My
paraphrasing of course). Anyway, when I chose to unblock some content, I have
been able to transfer all data to the Comcast site using FTP. Can you
elaborate and tell me where in MSP I go to change this setting, so I can do
it to my computer at work? I did not get the message on my pc at work, I just
could not transfer data using ftp or http. Thanks for any assistance you can
offer. /Butch

Perhaps play with your firewall settings, and I am not sure at all, but also
try under IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > then under
Browsing find and change the settings for Use Passive FTP, and/or Enable
folder view for FTP sites? Let me know if that helps at all.

If you have not been able to resolve this I can offer to review your files
and site and research it by trying to repro your issue. If you want to take
this offer, then post back in response.

David, problem resolved. It was a firewall issue. Thanks kindly for following
up. /Willard
