Pictures black in Word 2003 doc opened with Word 2007

We've got Word 2007 opening old Word 2003 docs with lots of embedded
pictures. Some look fine, but others are completely black boxes, yet others
show the top bit of the image then the rest is blank, as if it started to
scan but stopped. The images still show fine in Word 2003, but we need to
get them all to look good in Word 2007. Any ideas?

I have the same Exact problem happening... Word 2003 documents has b/w
images that are not being displayed properly when opened in Word 2007. Is
this a problem in Word 2007? I can open the same documents in Google Docs or
Open Office and see the images perfectly. Some help with this issue would be
appreciated. Thank you!
