I've copied a large image (page sized) using SnagIt and pasted the
image into my Word document. When I did that, the image boundary has a
blank space near the bottom of the page in the image box (in Page
mode). I finally realized that the image was being clipped to the
boundaries of the margins.
I added a table and put the image in the table, but the part that was
below the bottom margin was still blank. I had to "grab" the lower
right corner of the image and size it to fit inside the margins. Once
I'd done that the missing bottom portion of the image became visible.
If they can clip to blank, why not "ghost" the portion of the image
that is outside the print area? I think that would be more
understandable to the average user than just a completely blank space
for no immediately apparent reason. It took me several hours over a
number of days to realize what was happening.
