Pictures do not show up after I insert them from a file

I have a problem with word 2007, the pictures I insert disappear once I
position them, the box is there but the image isnt? Have I goofed? Is there
a place I can reset word to original settings? Much thanks in advance! Todd

Hi Todd,

Open the Word Options (eg Alt-t, o), click on 'Advanced', scroll down to 'Show document content' and uncheck 'Show picture
placeholders'.
