Is it possible to 'insert' a picture in a cell ?

Simple question but I cannot find a positive answer in the help - so maybe
it can't be done

Thanks for your time

Hi John!

Cells can only contains formulas and values, not objects as pictures and
charts.

John, you could use a cell Comment to store a picture. Or, use the Image
Control from the Control Toolbox toolbar.

Another way could be to take a picture of a cell by copying, choose a
destination, then hold down Shift and go to Edit>Paste Picture. Now
right click on the Picture, select Format Picture - Colors and Lines
then select Fill Effects from the "color" box then click Picture.

I find the simplest thing to do is just Insert|Picture|From File from the
worksheet menubar.

You'll probably have to resize it (and it actually floats above the cell--like
others have mentioned).

And when you're repositioning/resizing, try holding the shift-key and alt-key
and ctrl-key when you're adjusting/moving the picture.

In fact, there's a drawing toolbar View|Toolbars|Drawing that has an Icon named
Draw on it. You can click on that and you'll see lots of stuff you can do to
your picture (snap, nudge).
