Pictures in Image Folder

Janet

When I built the web site, with many pictures, I just saved them, they appear in the list of folders. Now that I have the site up and running, I wanted to move them to the images folder---I guess I should have done that at the time--When I tried to do that the photos did not show up on the local site--I then tried to publish from remote to local to correct but to no avail. I then spent several hours putting the photos back on the local. Is there an easy way to do this?

If you have the web open in FrontPage in folder view ( not windows explorer ) and drag
the image files from their current location into the images folder, FrontPage will update
the links to the images ( unless they are javascript links )

I would recommend opening the web in FrontPage and recalculating hyperlinks before I
started though.

With the web open in FP, you should be able to drag the images into the images folder and FP
automatically update all links, however if the images are being displayed via JavaScript, then FP
can not update the links to them.

Open FP and the you site in FP
From the Menu run Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
Then View Folders, and drag your images from whatever folder they are in to the Folder List (images folder)

| Steve,
| Thanks for your promt reply. I do not know what you mean by recalculating the hyperlinks, I am very new at this.
