Pictures in Word

I produce a lot of graphics in Word (mostly imported line drawings). Now I
don't know where they all are! Is there (a) any way/program to identify
pictures in Word Docs (in the same way eg. Irfan or Qview would pick up the
pics in picture files?, and (b) is there any EASY way to convert each of my
drawings/pictures to (eg) .jpg or .wmf?

For (a), the answer is no -- the drawings in a document aren't
separate files. You can, though, jump from one graphic to the next. At
the bottom of the vertical scrollbar, click the little circle and
choose Browse by Graphic. Then the double up- and down-arrows (or
Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown) will navigate to the previous and next
graphics in the document.

For (b), see http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm.
