pictures not showing in Photo gallery properties

I've got some issues with photo gallerys not being able
to be edited.

The photo gallery works fine, its pointing to the right
directory, the images are there, but when you go
to "Photo Gallery Properies" the list of images that
populates the gallery is blank, and any result in editing
the gallery will remove the content shown on the page.

Anyone else have this problem? The gallery is rather
large so I would like to not have to rebuild it.

I've only had problems when the galleries "were rather large". Small galleries - no problem.

It is common knowledge that the Photo Gallery component that is built into
FP 2002 just doesn't work very well! There are no changes for this problem
for FP 2003 even though there are so many questions asked about it in the
FrontPage forum.
