Pictures received in outlok open in Word

Whenever I receive Pictures via Outlook email they attempt to open in Word.
How do I reset so they open in Picture manager or another program.

go to your control panel and go to folder options. click on the "file types"
tab, check to see if the extension of that picture is set to open with the
program you wish to open it with

In Windows Explorer, click Tools>Folder Options, then the FIle Types tab.
Locate the file type of the pictures and change the associate to be the
application you wish to use for opening that file type.
