Hello,
can someone help me before I throw 2007 out the window? Created my
website, uploaded by FTP to my hosting...when looking at the website
everything looks fine until I go to click to enlarge a picture....I have a
thumbnail on the website...linked to larger image...but doesn't open when
published...in 2000 could have the same name...didn't work in 2007 so I
created a differect thumbnail with different name...linked to larger image
that has different name...still doesn't work..seems to keep the path to my
documents folder instead of saving it in index files. when I view site and
check the properties of that photo it appears to be linked to the page that
it's on...how do I fix this...2000 was simple...2007 has better creating
stuff but really frustrating on the publishing and getting links to work
right. (all the links work right except to enlarge the pictures. Any help
is appreciated here
Thank You!

What is the website and which pix?

Did you upload the pix to the website server?

Most of these type of failures are due to an error in the Hyperlink path.
Uppercase in the file name; not in the path or vice versa.
The Hyperlink path should start with a / unless you use the complete
path i.e., http://www...........

Best to have any pictures and available files in their own folder on the
server in order they won't be lost the next time you edit the site.
For instance, on the server have a folder named images for the larger
picture file.

In addition to what Don wrote...

Reference: How to Thumbnail in Publisher Web Publications:
http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/pages/80553.aspx

Pub 2007 works pretty much the same as 2003, as per this article. The only
real trick is to create a folder on your server to hold the full size
images, upload them, and then write the link correctly. If you create a
subfolder called "images" then your link from your thumbnail image to your
full size image would be:

http://yourwebsite.com/images/imagename.jpg

I usually write absolute links vs. relative links in order to keep things
straight in my head, but you can write a relative link if you prefer.

With Pub 2000 you could link your thumbnail image that was embedded in your
Pub page to the full sized image on your computer, and then when you did
your "Save As a web page" to produce the web pages, Publisher would
automatically pull in a copy of the full sized image into the html files you
uploaded. Pub 2003 and 2007 do not do that. Furthermore Pub 2000 did not use
a subfolder to contain the additional pages and all the supporting
graphics...all the files were loose and together. Pub 2003 and 2007 uses a
default subfolder. When you "Publish to the Web" in 2003 and 2007 to produce
the web pages, it will produce an index.htm file and an index_files folder.
Do not do a Save as a web page in 2003 or 2007 to produce your html...use
Publish to the web.

the website is www.kellys3pinesfarm.com it's on the sheep page and then at
the bottom you can click a sheep to see the pictures....it's on that page
where the pictures will not go larger. I think I get what I have to do
now...I guess I'll actually have two seperate folders, the one publisher
automatically creates then the one I'll create for the larger images.
instead of letting publisher do the work for me I'll have to enter the
hyperlinks in myself like the other post mentioned...using the web address
link (after they've been uploaded to the server) instead of finding them on
my computer....also instead of saving it to my computer I need to use the
publish option in publisher correct? I hope this works out....was getting
kindof mad at all of it....
Thank you both for your help...I'll try this in the next few days and let
you know how it turned out.
