I've done a search, and I don't think this has been addressed anywhere.
Forgive me if I've missed something.
Zero values at specific positions in a data table cause issues with pie
charts in Excel 2007.
In a new spreadsheet, enter the following data...
Thing1 5
Thing2 8
Thing3 6
Thing4 9
Thing5 0
Thing6 6
Thing7 8
Select these cells, insert a pie chart. Now, under Chart Tools - Design,
change the format of the pie chart to anything other than a flat 2D chart.
All of the values before the zero (Thing1 to Thing4) get combined into one
segment. That segment has the colour of Thing5.
This problem does not occur if the zero value is within the first three rows.
