ping to check validity of email

I have numerous email links to artists on my site and need to check every 6
months if they are still valid, without having to send individual test
messages - how can I ping to see if links are working, preferably in one go?
I use FrontPage 2003 - my site is www.pelmama.org - [email protected]

FP has no functionality to check email addresses. If you use a database on your site, then you could
generate an email to artist to test their email address.

Also many ISP / Web Host etc. block ping request to avoid DOS attacks.
