Pivot table and IF statement

I am trying to write an IF statement in the Calculated Field of my Pivot table, the result always defalts to True. I think the problem is with sintax.

Olga,

Initially I didn't think it was possible to generate formula inside o
Pivot Tables. A pop-up box should appear and read 'Cannot change thi
part of the pivot table'. Somehow you must have managed if it'
generating a result.

Can you elaborate or post the workbook to have a look at

Here is the problem:

A field GROUP has two subgroups:

GROUP Actual Budget
Apples 5 6
Oranges 7 8

The formula needs to say that if group is Apples - (Actual - Budget) is positive, if Oranges - negative.
