Pivot Table - Can't uncheck values

I recently created a basic Pivot Table and wanted to
uncheck the "Blank" column but it is like it is locked
and I can't uncheck any item in the pull down. I opened
an older Excel file where the saved file had some of the
values checked and unchecked and again it was now locked
and I couldn't change it. Did one of the patches do this
to me or am I missing something that is just a setting?
