Pivot table error

I have a user who is trying to run a pivot table but is getting th
following error: there are too many open records to complete th
process. She mentioned that she has been able to handle a larger numbe
of records in the past

I see no one address this issue.

It is not the number of rows of data that is the limiting factor it is the
number of unique entries. And that limit is version dependent. In other
words if there are 2,000,000 rows but they will be grouped into 2 groups, no
problem. But there is a limit to the number of groups depending on version.
