Pivot Table filtering dates

XP w/ Excel 07
I've got a year's worth of orders. I need to create a PT that shows only
the orders placed in January. When I try to filter the dates it gives me an
option to click on individual dates, but I can't seem to enter a range of
dates.
Anyone got any suggestions??

I would just set up the ranges in an additional column in the data
sheet, if possible.
