Pivot Table wizard not accurately totaling figures

Hi Everyone

Awkard problem, not sure what is going on.

Using Excel 2003 and I'm new to Pivot Tables. I've been able to utilize the
wizard to get most of my stuff done, but I believe this problem is out of my
experience.

I have a worksheet with a series of sales figures associated to customers.
When I run the pivot table wizard, it executes fine however my data does not
properly get added in the pivot table.

Example:
Company A in my raw data table has a total of 3000 units sold, but when I
run the pivot table, it only says 2. If anyone can please help, that would
be great. I should also note that my data is received in multiple partners
(Company A is shown 10 times)

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Try double-clicking on the number that you think is wrong.

If the data is stored with the table (which I believe is the default
behaviour), then it should drill down into that figure, and show you
how it is made up.

That may offer a hint as to what is going wrong (possibly the range
that the pivot table is built from was wrong?)

HTH,

Alan.
