At various times (for reasons I can't explain) my pivot table data defaults to a 'count' rather than a 'sum' of my data. This is annoying. Can I make it always default to 'sum'?
You can't change the default settings for the data fields. If a field
contains blank cells, or cells with text, it will default to COUNT.
Otherwise, it will SUM.
