pivotchart refreshing

I have a pivot chart with two axes one line and column. when i refresh
my pivot where the chart is based on my chart does not retain it´s
format. it changes to one axes. how do i prevent that happening ?. i
tried autoformatting and preserve formatting but nothing helps

This is a known problem with pivot charts. There's some information in
the following MSKB article, which suggests recording a macro as you
apply the formatting:
