Place Holder in PowerPoint 2003

Does anyone know if you can use image place holders on
Master Slides in Powerpoint 2003?

You cannot add placeholders in PowerPoint and you can't change the placeholders
that show on the Slide Master in View > Master. In View > Normal, select the
slide layout you want - - you can use a layout that includes the image
placeholder.
