Placeholder formatting

Hi. I'm using a placeholder (which is the title of the slide as it appears in
outline) but I don't want it to appear on the slide itself, so I drag it off
and park it just above the slide. But I have to manually type the
placeholder, then manually drag each one off the slide to where I want it.
I've got hundreds of slide to do this to. I've tried various ways of copying
and pasting on the slides, in the outline, etc...but I can't get anything to
work. Is there any way to automate making an "off the slide" placeholder for
each slide without having to manually make and drag each one...? TIA!

Edit it in the View Master | Slide Master, and Title Master, then save your
changes as a Design Template (.pot) file. then when you design a new
presentation using the template, the placeholders will be off the slide wherever
you placed them.

Fran,
Do View --> Master--> Slide Master. This will bring up your masters. Go to
the content master and drag the title placeholder off the slide. This should
move the title placeholder on all slides. One Caveat: If you have already
moved some of the title placeholders, you may need to re-apply the layout to
see the changes. Easiest way to do that is to select all the slides to be
changed and do the layout re-apply all at once.

If you need detailed instructions on re-applying the layout, let us know
which version of PPT you are using.
