Placeholders not appearing

Doc containing jpegs
Selecting placeholders in tools/options/view has no effect
Graphic still appears as picture
Any thoughts out there ?

"Picture placeholders" applies only to inline graphics. Is your graphic
wrapped?

Yes, they're all wrapped, but I don't get a placeholder with wrapping set to
"none" either.
