Placing a drawing in a footer?

Hello Everyone,

Using Word 2002, I created a footer with colored text. One logo-type of item
required a small vertical line between two words.

This looks like: XSL | Worldwide, Inc. where the vertical line had to be
grey and longer than the font size which is purple font. I drew the grey
line and dragged it between the words. Everything looked perfect when the
footer view was selected.

However, when I click off of the footer to a regular page view, the color of
everything in the footer is grey. So I lost the color of the text.

Does anyone know what I might do to show the color in the regular page view?

Thanks a lot,

Bob

Are you sure? Did you try printing it?

Hello,

I wanted to show the color in the footer when the document is on the screen.
However, I looked back at previous documents and notice the same effect.
Color in the footer does not show on the screen in document view but does
show if you open the footer.

Is there any way to show color in a footer on the screen?

Thanks,

Bob

I can see colors in my footers in print layout. I don't see the footer at
all in normal view, color or not. I'm not sure what you mean by "document"
view. (I'm using Office 2003.)
