So far, I have gotten a lot of help from people in this discussion with
Office related questions. Thanks for all your help.
This problem is a little more complex, but I am sure some wiz kid has
already figured it out.
In our office, we have a file naming problem. There is no organization of
the files what so ever, and the position I fill, is constently changing hands
with Temporary Employees. Files get saved with different naming schema, whih
leads to confusion, which leads to files being "lost."
My question is: Is there a program out there that will generate a new file
name, based on certain criteria, everytime a new file is created? Does such a
thing exist? i.e. UPS Bar codes, or some similar device being placed on the
bottom of each document.
The software itself would not actually have to place the name on the file,
that could be done manually.
Can anyone help or lead me in the right direction?
Sincerely,
BG
