Plain Test in WordArt

Is it possible to use plain text in WordArt? The advantage would be the
ability to use WordArt features to manipulate text whilst keeping it looking
the same as normal text entered into text boxes.

Cannot see what the point would be. There is more than sufficient control
with the normal text features.

Yes, but you have to do some adjusting. I know I can make it look like plain text.
If you have WordArt 3.2 it would be much simpler. To see if you have WordArt 3.2, on
the toolbar, insert, object, scroll down to Microsoft WordArt 3.2. You can download

Thank you for that tip. However I'm running Publisher 2003 and I understand
that major changes were made to WordArt in it. What has driven the query in
particular was trying to produce vertical text with each character being
horizontal. It used to be easy in Publisher 2000, but seems not so easy in
2003. You can do it easily in WordArt, but it's messy in plain text.
