Hi:
I´m starting with project and I am planning a project where each task has a specific customer assigned. I added a Custom field and I am loading it in each task.
I need to get a report where I can show the planned work hours for a specific month grouped by Customer.
I can´t find how can I build that report.

Thanks in advance.

Here's how to do it:

In the project in question, you will need to create a new Group by completing the following steps:

1. Click Project - Group by - More Groups
2. Click the New button
3. Give the new Group a name, such as "Customer"
4. Select the "Show in menu" option
5. In the Field Name column, select the custom field that holds the name of the customer
6. Click the OK button
7. Click the Close button

Once you have done this, you can apply this new Group as follows:

1. Click View - Task Usage
2. Click either the Zoom In or Zoom Out button zoom the timescale to Quarters over Months
3. Click the Group drop-down list on the Standard toolbar and select the Customer group that you just created
4. Select the Show button on the left end of the Formatting toolbar and select Outline Level 1

Hope this helps.

I haven´t realized till now that it´s summing planned work by customer, but it is not gruping by month.
I´d need to aggregate by onth even when I have tasks that spans throug more than one month.

Thanks in advence.

HI:
Sorry I´ve been so dumb.
I solved it changing the main time axis to month scale.

Best regards

Nobody in this group is dumb. Sometimes we overlook the obvious, however, but this doesn't make us dumb. Thanks for solving your own problem! :)
