Planned Time Overview - Resource Assignments

Hi

We intend to create a view to display the planned time for resources on
their task assignements. we are using a 3rd party application for posting
hours (timesheeting) and the timesheet feature in EPM is not enabled (Client
Setup).
The planned work timesheet / assignment view from EPM should display Project
name, planned work, and a couple of custom fields.
We then need to embed this view via a url in another web page.
could someone guide how to achieve this and if this is possible (ideally by
copying and /or modifying one of the standard EPM views).

I assume you are using 2007?

Obviously more detailed requirements gathering is needed, but my initial
response is to say that you may want to investigate the use of Reporting
Services against the external system and the EPM Reporting Database to
do this for you. Unless you are importing the timesheet information from
the other system into EPM, that is. then you may be able to work
something out using a regular old DA or PWA view.

Hi Stephen

The requirement is to have a very basic view of which tasks ('My Tasks' )
are assigned to a particular resource and what is the planned work on given
dates.

This will be a very lean view to act as a Help view for the people to know
what the planned time was against a particular task when they do their
timesheeting in the other system.

The 3rd party timesheet system already has a copy of EPM tasks and
assignments, so all that is needed is t support the users with the
information on planned work so they can compare actuals with planned time on
a given date.
Can you advise a quick workaround solution ?

Best regards
Vishal

Thanks Gary

The My Tasks does appear to be very close to my requirement.

Can you help me provide a 'quick guide' info on how to create / reuse this
view to create my webpage / EPM view (I am a novice to EPM).

Best regards
VT
