i am planning on upgrading my hard drive and am wondering what will happen
with my office program since it is already registered on one hard drive and
am going to re-install it into a new hard drive. since you have to regeister
the program online how will you be able to register it a second time.

Do you mean reactivate? Registration is optional.

Use the Telephone method to reactivate if you are unable activate over the
internet

Simply install the new hard drive and copy/move the folder containing Office
to the new drive. Then open the Registry and search for all references of
the original folder, say c:\program files\msoffice and change to the new
folder say d:\program files\msoffice.
