Plaxo like functionality in Outlook Preview/Reading Pane

Hello all,

I'm trying to add Plaxo like functionality to my add in. Plaxo adds a
child window in reading / preview pane of Outlook.

How can we add such visual element to reading pane?

In it you had replied that this can be done by using low level windows
system calls.
Can you give me any information about these API?
