Play a clip from a DVD in PowerPoint XP

I'd like to know how I can import into PowerPoint a
portion of a DVD movie. Does anyone have experience with
this or know if additional software is required? Any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to 'rip' the clip from the DVD first!

I will try to explain how to do this.

1. Download DVD Decryter (free) and rip the entire dvd to your hard drive.
2. Download the trial version of mpegvcr from Wombles website (this allows
you to extract the exact clip you want from the film) - this is then saved
as an MPEG
3. Insert the MPEG into the presentation.

Quite a bit of work for 30 seconds!
