Nykee,

Put the movie on the slide master

View > Master > Slide master

Right click the movie and choose "custom animations"

Make the "play settings" set to "play using animation order"

"continue slideshow" ticked

"stop playing after 999 slides"

Under "custom animations", I am able to specify the 999 slides...but that is
all from your notes. I don't see "play settings", "play using animation
order", or "continue slideshow".

After specifying the number of slides, the visual portion of the movie does
continue from slide to slide, but the sound starts over each time.

I didn't specify before, but I am using PowerPoint 2003. I have also tried
both a 'movie clip' and also a 'windows media audio/video file'. The sound
starts over on each slide, but the visual portion is continuous.

Nykee,

With you not specifying what version of powerpoint (i made an assumption!.
The instructions were for powerpoint 97 or 2000.
After specifying the number of slides, the visual portion of the movie
does
continue from slide to slide, but the sound starts over each time.

Is the movie and sound all in one file. If it is then I'm not sure what the
problem could be.

IF the sound is a seperate file then see this

Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

The movie and sound are all in one. I figured it out though. You don't put
the movie in the master slide...instead, you put it in the first slide in
which you want it to appear and set the number of slide that you want under
custom animations.
