Play Quicktime video in presentations?

Can you play Quicktime video (.mov) in a PowerPoint
presentation. If so, how does one get the codecs
installed?

Natively, you cannot play QuickTime video compressed using any QuickTime
codec later than QuickTime v.2 in PowerPoint. There are workarounds:
