Playing A DVD from CD Drive

I am new to this site, and I di try a query first, but no success. I am
trying to play a video DVD from my CD drive by placing a play button on the
PPT slide. This may not be PPT issue, but can the "play" pop up the WinMedia
player in full screen mode withouth the ctrl./enter function? I'd like to
make this as seamless as possible for my groups. Thanks for any ideas you
may have.

Is this the only way? PPT will not do that on it's own? I've looked over a
number of sites, and it sure dosen't look like it will. Curious? To my
mind, yes -- however, not technically profecient!!
