How can I play music continuoulsy without breaks between
slides in powerpoint? I'm using downloaded music files
during the presentation. I will be using the same song
during the presentation.
Thanks for any suggestions.

If you right click on the sound icon and then right click, you will see an option for "custom animation". Make sure that "media object" is checked in the up-left window. Select "multimedia settings'. Check on "play during animation order" and also while playing "continue slide show". YOu also may want to up the number of slides it lasts through to something like 100. This works pretty well. I'm trying to figure out how to make it last on the web. Oh well.

.
Insert sound from wherever... Right click icon > Edit
Sound Object > Select Loop until stopped. OR
After inserting sound, select Slide Show > Custom
Animation> Play Settings> Select: Play using animation
order > Continue slide show > (Stop Playing) indicate
number of slides. Good luck. It worked for me.

Wynn,
When you webify your presentation, PowerPoint sets it up to only play sounds
on the first slide. Lucky for you there is a known way to edit the HTML to
fix this. This page from the FAQ should help. Be sure to read the linked
pages as well.
Sounds won't play across multiple slides on the web
