Playing movie in Powerpoint Slide

When we get to the slide that is playing a movie you have to click the movie
for it to start. Is there a way for it to just Play when the slide comes up.
No user action needed?

Also - when the clip is over is there any way to automatically bring up the
next slide?

When inserting the movie into the slide you are asked if the movie should
play automatically or on click. Choose "automatically" in this place and no
user action is need.

Also - when the clip is over is there any way to automatically bring
up the next slide?

No, I'm afraid not. Powerpoint doesn't recognize that the movie is over,
because PPT doesn't play the movie. It hands over the action to the
multimedia-system and waits for the next user action.

Thanks Pia. Thats how it is configured now. there seems to be a delay when
the slide comes up. Any way to make it start faster?

Not really to start it faster as PPT has to preload the movie into the
player.

The end of the movie is not detected by Power Point but you may be able to
auto advance on time.

Time the movie from the click until it is done. In Slide Transition (Click
Slide Show, Slide Transition) at the bottom of the window that opens on the
right side of the screen click the box under Automatically after under
Advance slide. In the box below, click in the box and change the 00:00 to
the time in minutes and seconds that it took the movie to play with an
additional 5 seconds or so added to the amount.

This may work for you as I have used this in the past and it worked for me
to automatically advance to the next slide.
