playing video file in pp2002 presentation

I have a presentation on a laptop, pentium II, xp program
and inserted a video clip in one of the slides. when I
play that slide, the video comes in broken, squares
appear through out the screen and around the images.
However, when I play the same video with Windows Media
Player in the same computer, the image is crystal clear.
Also, if I play it on another computer (desk top) using
Win 98 and PP2000 the image also comes out clear whether
I use Win MP or during the PP presentation. Both
computers have 198 MB of RAM. The video file is 7.47
MB. Can any one tell me what gives and how it can be
corrected so it will play in the laptop during the
presentation w/o any problems??? Thanks,

Armando

I would start with updating the video driver and updating to the current
version of DirectX. Go to the laptop manufacturer's site and look for a
current version of the driver for Wind 98. Look for DirectX in the
Microsoft Download page.
